I heard about the Brazilian brigadeiro for the first time when I was looking up the menus of different Brazilian restaurants. Not only did the brigadeiro look scrumptious, but I found out it was an extremely simple dessert to make with simple ingredients! The dessert is a chocolate ball similar to a bonbon in some sense and can be found at almost every Brazilian birthday party or celebration.

Here is the simple recipe:

1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 stick of butter or margarine
4 spoons Chocolate milk powder
Sprinkles, Shredded Chocolate, Crushed Nuts, Shredded Coconuts

1. Heat condensed milk, chocolate powder and 1/2 stick of butter in a sauce pan at medium heat while constantly stirring in a circular motion. You do not want it to boil, but it will bubble a little bit which is expected.

2. Keep stirring until there is a thick consistency and the ingredients no longer stick to the pan.

3. Pour the chocolatey ingredients onto a plate and wait for it to cool off a bit in.

4. To make the chocolate balls, slather some butter onto your hands so that the chocolate does not stick to your hand and will make it easier to roll small chocolate balls.

5. Roll the brigadeiro in sprinkles or any other toppings until it’s fully covered.

6. Place onto a cup cake cup or non stick tray and put inside the fridge for about 15 minutes so they become firm.

7. ENJOY! disfrutar de los dulces
